We are excited to introduce you to our second set of Micro Blogging themes. As far as we know, this layout is unique in the Micro Theme world with a side scrolling layout in the home page.
So whats so special about Slider? Well it's our first micro blogging theme whith some cool jQuery effects (Tumblr theme only*) and more importantly, it has a side scrolling layout!
Along with that we have also incorporate a v-card into the theme which will sit in your side bar. In the V-Card you can display links for:
- Digg
- RSS
- Flickr
- YouTube
- Design Float
- Delicious
Big thank you to Liam McKay from WeFunction, for an incredible set of icons.
Two Color Options
Just like in the initial launch of our Micro blogs we offered three distinct styles based on a particular layout.
In this case there are two style options you can choose from.
The colorful Slider

Slider is one of our most colorful themes to date, with a striking red sidebar contrasted by a dark background there is no doubt about the impact that it will have on your visitors.
Slider.Press

Due to the current success of both Press and Micro.Press, we have decided to incorporate their style into this Micro Blog layout and call is Slider.Press.
The style is carried over from Micro Press, so if you are getting bored with your current Press theme you now have the option to move on and to the side.
A Launch Special
To celebrate the launch of these two awesome themes we are offering you a special two for one deal. This deal will only last Saturday.
By using the coupon code 'SLIDER' you will be able to claim both these themes for only $25.
As always, your feedback is appreciated. We hope you enjoy your themes and trust that you will take advantage of the awesome launch special!
BIG UPDATE: We have added Mouse Wheel scrolling functionality

Please get some demos up and running, for other themes as well, would be great to see your work in action.

Hi Polle
We are currently working on creating demos for each theme. Unfortunately it is not as easy as Wordpress, each site has to be registered under a new email address with new content being uploaded for each theme. So it does take very long.
However, we still have the Slider.Press demo up and running which you can view here:

Very nice. One thing, when you say "Slider is one of our most colorful themes to day..." shouldnt the word "day" be changed to "date"?

I need to go on a spelling and grammar course. Thanks for the heads up OLP

I did this theme a lot. Its nice to see how you guys are breaking the mold and doing themes that are different than other theme stores. Nice work.
That dark/red one looks killer.

I would like to see horizontal scroll from Slider.Press a little improved (at least to work like in this example - http://vanityclaire.com/, I mean scrolling with mouses wheel).
And would like to know if there is any inspiration from http://markjardine.com/ ? :)
Great job ;)

hmmm, almost zero usability as it doesnt capture mouse-scroll..

Very cool theme guys, nice to see sumin different.
The only issue I have, is that you cant use your mouse wheel to scroll sideways (You have the next button so I suppose Its not a train smash)?
I had a script that could do this (Horizontal scroll with mouse wheel), can dig it up if you interested...
All in all, great job!

@Rob @Pavel - We will improve the scrolling, unfortunately we havent been able to write glitch-free code to support horizontal scrolling (we dont want to use someone elses plugin with our products, its the same story with our Wordpress themes).

You are all very much correct, it is a feature which we should have paid more attention to. Marc and I will work on an update and post it up later today.
Thanks for your feedback peeps.

Very attractive piece of work ... although the slider its kinda slow dont you think? Its not that fluid as I would expect from a slider.
Otherwise its a great theme. Best wishes, Bogdan.

I love the concept, but agree the sliding usability needs to be addressed. I think if you just make the "Next" arrow in between panes instead of on top and make them more obvious/attractive buttons, it will make a big difference. I think its the lack of noticability of the button that really detracts from the usability. At least if I know where to click and its easy to do so, I wont be mad I cant scroll. Just my UX 2 cents :)

Hey Guys,
Another brilliant theme. Very well done. You know Im a huge fan of your work.
Like many of the others I find the horizontal scroll functionality to be in need of a few improvements. But overall, I think its awesome. Thats the great thing about the web is you can always change and update. Maybe the short term fix is possibly making the scroll arrows (buttons in the press demo) slightly bigger and easier to see. And maybe Im completely out to lunch on that.
I think you guys have done an amazing job with this and I can wait to see whats next. Its great to see unique layouts like this. Such a solid design and structure.

@Chris and @April - Thank you very much for the feedback peeps. We completely agree and will be putting in the effort tonight so that we can get the feature enhancement out. :)

Weve updated the theme to slide with the mouse. Thanks again peeps.
